Event: Seven Dials Covent Garden Shopping Evening

25 Apr

It’s been a while since I featured an event but this is not one to miss! On Thursday 26th April (tomorrow!), Seven Dials and sister destination St Martin’s Courtyard will be hosting an exclusive shopping evening where participating stores will be offering 20% off between 5-9pm… yes 20% off! Eeee!

Stores involved offering 20% off include American Apparel, Bare Escentuals, Banana Republic, Barbour, Coco De Mer, Cos, Diesel, Fred Perry, Jaeger London, Kiehl’s, Office, Orion London, Orla Kiely, Neal’s Yard Remedies, Poste Mistress, Shu Uemura, Tatty Devine, Twenty8Twelve, Urban Outfitters and Wolsey plus many more. The impressive list of participating stores can be found here.

AND…. As part of Seven Dials’ new partnership with MasterCard’s Priceless London, the first 200 shoppers to spend over £100 on their MasterCard card will receive a free luxury goodie bag to be collected on the night. AND… there’s a pop-up bar in St Martin’s Courtyard serving complimentary drinks for shoppers, and on top of that… 100 shoppers selected at random will be presented with a golden ticket entitling them to a gift worth £5 to £150 from participating stores. Oh this all sounds like so much fun!

How does one get this discount you ask? All you have to do is download a ‘Seven Dials and St Martin’s Courtyard Shopping Voucher’ here, print it out and take it along with a list of participating stores and venues.

Let me know what you do with your 20% off… I’d definitely recommend Pix Bar, which I went to last night, a brilliant concept… help yourself to little plates of tapas whilst drinking amazing wine or delicious classic cocktails

Trendwatch: The Umbrella

24 Apr

Following on from my April showers OOTD, it seems only right to dedicate a post to Umbrellas!

I’ve realised my Primark dark grey brolly just doesn’t make me feel any better about the miserable weather we’re having. However, if I owned the Moschino Cheap and Chic Spots Olivia Umbrella for example… (surely a bargain at seventy five of our Great British Pounds) I’d want any excuse to whip it out!

Or for a cheaper but no less spotty alternative… I could go with the Topshop Clear Spot Frill Umbrella (£15)… what do you think?

Some other brollies I’m absolutely loving….

Fulton Double Canopy Walker Floral Umbrella (£25) – what a lovely surprise on the inside of this quite standard looking black brolly!

Fulton Vintage Butterfly Micro Slim Umbrella (was £18 now £10) – perfect for the handbag and a bargain too!

Cath Kidston Shooting Stars Tiny Umbrella (was £20 now £15) – loving the classic Kidston print

What are your thoughts on the perfect umbrella for these Spring showers? Do you like the prints or the classic black walker? I’d love to know.

OOTD – April Showers

White Blouse: Primark

Red Jumper: H&M

Kristen High Waisted Jeans – Topshop

Fur Detail Jacket: Motel

Tillie Bag: Mulberry

Brown Riding Style Boots: Lotus Hallmark

What a strange week of weather we’ve had with our April Showers. You look out of the window and it’s a beautiful, bright, sunny morning, thirty minutes later you step outside and pouring with rain! The solution? Stick on a nice big coat, a pair of puddle protecting boots and always carry an umbrella!

What’s your rainy day item of choice?
